You are trying to find time in the future to “work” on it.
What could you do to treat it as if it is close or done?
A. Mention it in your presentation. Even if it’s just, “I have an idea for a reward system” Just sneak it in somewhere.
B. Bring it up in the board meeting. Ask a question about it that’s posed in a way that it’s already a done deal.
C. Ask your peers what they’ve tried, heard etc. Again, refer to your idea as something that exists or is in progress.
Why this works. You give the idea energy and focus and it starts to take on a life of its own. You give it shape and form. It’s the beginning of bringing an idea out of the ether and into reality. Easy.
As far as treating the close goals as far….I’m still lost on that. I’d appreciate it if someone would explain that to me. Comment below or tweet it back.
